The event is not a traditional beer festival. Instead, it’s a series of events around the spa town, celebrating Harrogate’s beer and brewing heritage.
“We want innovative beer experiences in your bars, taprooms, and other venues,” say the Beer Week organisers. “We want to inspire you to showcase your business, tell your stories, and spotlight the expertise your team holds.
“We’ll pull it all together into a branded week of fabulous beery Harrogate-ness, and we’ll promote the heck out of it!”
The organisers are especially keen on events involving collaborations between businesses, such as beer and food pairing events, talks and tastings, meet the brewer, and brewery tours.
Also on the list are things like homebrewer socials, tap takeovers featuring sought-after breweries, special beers, live music or spoken word, showcases of Harrogate’s beer heritage, trails, and special offers on things like tasting flights to encourage people to try different styles — even special menu items.
