Black Sheep Brewery has announced the release of a fruit cider, following the launch of its first ever apple cider in 2021.

Bobby Horn’s Hedgerow Cider will launch on draught this week at the Great Yorkshire Show. It will be available direct from the brewery in bottle from Tuesday.

The cider shares the same base as that of its sister brand. Bobby Horn’s Easy Apple Cider, crafted exclusively from a blend of 100% British apples, offers juicier content compared to other well-known British ciders, says Black Sheep. The new Hedgerow iteration has the addition of plum, sloe, and blackcurrant to offer a sweet, complex, and balanced cider, packed with lots of dark fruit flavour.

Black Sheep chief executive, Charlene Lyons, said: “After the popularity that we’ve seen with Bobby Horn’s Easy Apple Cider, it was only right to introduce our next cider iteration, this time combining hedgerow fruits to create something interesting, flavoursome, and packed with Black Sheep originality.

“We’re proud to be serving our new cider on draught at the Great Yorkshire Show, set to take place over four days from Tuesday to Friday this week! Those lucky enough to be in attendance will be some of the first to have a slurp of our Hedgerow Cider. But if you don’t like feeling left out, then head to one of our pubs across York and Leeds to grab yourself a pint of Yorkshire’s finest!”
