Brewpub group Brewhouse & Kitchen has been named pub brand of the year at the National Pub & Bar Awards.

Brewhouse Kitchen award

The award was accepted on behalf of the company by co-founders Kris Gumbrell (chief executive) and Simon Bunn (managing director).

The brand has a reputation for creating beers that are hyper-local. They are all brewed on site, with recipes specific to each of its locations. These form part of a unique offering of more than 70 craft beers and ciders.

Brewhouse & Kitchen also places great emphasis on its food, with every dish on the menu matched to one of its draught beers.

Another interesting aspect of the offer (picked out as part of the judging process) was the brand’s focus on the range of experiences it offers. These include offering guests the opportunity to spend a day brewing a craft beer, delving into a
masterclass of pairing craft beer with whisky, or attending a gin tasting masterclass.

Marketing and brand director, Matt Preisinger, said: “We’re over the moon for Brewhouse & Kitchen to receive this award! We have always had a big focus on innovating within the pub arena. And continuing to do so by further
developing our food, drink, and experience offer is absolutely at the forefront of our plans for the future.”
