The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is imminent, as are special Thank Brew beers designed to celebrate her 70-year reign.

Thank Brew

The aim of the campaign, organised by The Good Beer Co, is to raise a glass to kindness and community, and to raise funds for good causes. On 5th June, across the country, there will be Big Jubilee Lunches and Thank You Days.

Adnams has created a simple base recipe for an IPA style brew that can be replicated by brewers around the country. Among those taking part are Theakston and St Austell. In addition, alcohol-free specialist Big Drop is creating a 0.5% ABV version of the brew.

Brewers who want to take part in the project can find out more here. Pubs wanting to find out how they can take part should use the same link.

The campaign is backed by the British Beer and Pub Association, UK Hospitality, the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), and the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). CAMRA has an interactive map of Jubilee pub events which can be accessed here.

One hundred per cent of the profits from Thank Brew sales will go to help build stronger communities through Eden Project communities, which runs The Big Lunch, and /together Coalition which runs Thank You Day. Money will also support Ukrainian refugees arriving in the the UK to live with families in communities across Britain through the UK government’s Homes for Ukraine scheme, Reset Communities and Refugees.
