Bedlam Brewery has uneviled unveiled Brave Noise Pale Ale 440ml cans at a launch event at Laine Brew Co’s Worlds End pub, Brighton.

Fierce Beer Brave Noise

In August, Bedlam decided to participate in the global Brave Noise initiative. This will see more than 100 breweries around the world releasing a Brave Noise Pale Ale before the end of March 2022. The project supports the simple goal of creating a safe and discrimination-free beer industry.

As part of its participation, Bedlam published its code of conduct on its website, formalising the way it operates, namely without discrimination internally or externally.

While disappointed that such an initiative is required at all, Bedlam is proud to be the first UK-based brewery to participate, and delighted to have since been joined by Cloudwater Brew Co, Fierce Beer, Merakai Brewing Co, Laine Brew Co, The Park Brewery, and Vault City Brewing.

The hope is that, with the help of local beer pourers and the packaged beer community, they are able to make the noise needed for a real, tangible change to the industry. With smaller breweries each creating their own small footprint, Brave Noise hopes to create a big footprint and thus hopefully big change.

As part of this initiative, Bedlam has announce it will be making donations to a local charity, the Allsorts Youth Group, which supports the under-26 LGBT+ community across Sussex, helping them to feel comfortable with themselves, their sexual orientation, and their bodies.

Dry-hopped with Mosaic and Sabro hops, Bedlam’s Brave Noise has a tropical flavour. There is a light body and hop-forward bitterness, with notes of pink grapefruit, pineapple juice, and lime pith.
