The brewery is focused on sustainability, winning the SIBA national cask champion beer in 2019, and with sales nationwide.

The business has expanded during ten years of trading, with the introduction of TANK Gloucester and Fox’s Kiln Distillery. Annual sales across the group were in excess of £1m in 2019.

Revenue in August 2021 was 612% up on January 2021, from £15.6k to £116k . There has been average monthly growth of 39% over the last six-month period. Demand for the group’s products has outstripped production capacity.

Supply to Gloucester Rugby Club has started, with a database of more than 200 other active trade customers. The business has recently acquired the lease for its adjoining building, Warehouse 4.

In its Crowdcube pitch, the company says: “We will open Gloucestershire’s first waterside taproom and self-serve bar, with a shop for take-away beers and spirits produced on site, an extension of production space allowing a 100% increase in beer production and a 500% increase in spirit production capacity.

“Our purpose is to be a leading, independent, eco-friendly brewery and distillery in the UK, by producing high-quality, progressive, and exciting beers and spirits.”

Gloucester Brewery is looking to raise £500,000 over the next 25 days, and is offering 9.09% equity.
