Nottingham-based Castle Rock Brewery is to hold a recruitment day tomorrow (21st October) at one its flagship pubs, The Canalhouse.

There will be a chance to find out about employment opportunities across the business. From noon until 7pm, members of the Castle Rock team will be around to talk to informally about upcoming opportunities.

There will be a chance to find out about:

  • team discounts on food and drink across Castle Rock pubs
  • access to an extensive range of training courses to build and enhance qualifications

Meanwhile, the company has announced that it will introduce the new rate of the national minimum wage, expected to come into effect in April, five months early.

Managing director, Colin Wilde, said: “This is a big investment for us, especially with rising business costs. “However, the cost of living is rising too, and we recognise that a little bit extra can go a long way to help with bills during winter and the expense of Christmas.”

The minimum wage is due to rise from £8.91 per hour to £9.42 in April, but Castle Rock employees pay will increase from 1st November.
