After missing out last year, CAMRA volunteers are returning to The Halls for the 43rd Norwich Beer Festival.

Norwich beer festival

The Curiosity Bar and World Beer Bar both return, with new and exciting beers, alongside a range of real ale, cider, perry, hot food, and snacks.

Running from Monday, 25th October, until Saturday, 30th October, entry is free to CAMRA members with proof of membership. You can also join at the festival and receive two free pints. No advance tickets nor booking are necessary.

This year’s charity partner is Norfolk SEN Network, helping families with children with special educational needs. Festival-goers can donate beer tokens and change. Norwich CAMRA has also announced a range of fundraising beers, plus mystery beer bags for £10 (containing four beers, at least one worth more than £5) with £5 going to the charity.

Local breweries are showcasing their beers, including matured limited-edition brews from Ampersand, fruit beer from Panther, and continental-style beers from Tindalls.

Excitement is building

Beer sommelier, Cheryl Cade, said: “We promise an amazing selection, from trappists to guezes, alongside an aged version of the World Beer Award-winning Val Dieu. We are the only festival to offer the exceptional Orval beers. All can be found at the World Beer Bar in the central marquee.”

Festival organiser, Craig Harmer, added: “We all missed the festival in 2020 and are really excited to be opening the doors once again very soon. We are looking forward to seeing friends and familiar faces, local brewers, returning
customers, tradespeople, and our fantastic volunteers.

“We also hope to see some new faces. Anyone new to the festival can speak to the volunteers, who will be happy to explain the layout of the festival and give some useful beer or cider suggestions.”
