The Knutsford Beer Festival may not have been able to run this year, but the team behind the event have come up with a solution to give beer fans a great experience at home.

The Knutsford Beer Festival beer advent calendar has a fully-customised design and houses a selection of 24 beers, featuring local breweries such as Mobberley and Tatton.

Festival organiser, Rachel Bishop, said: “Ever since the beer festival was cancelled in April, I wanted to do something that would raise money for our charity, the Toy Appeal. I couldn’t bear the thought of letting down all the families they help
at Christmas.

“It’s win-win really, because people buying the box can enjoy a whole month of great beers and feel good that they are doing their bit for charity.”

The beers chosen for the box offer something for everyone, and include a few special treats, like a dark chocolate orange stout from The White Hag.

Rachel said: “We are able to make a profit on the box thanks to some great buying power from Ben Selby, (buyer at Dexter & Jones) and the generosity of our sponsors, APC Manchester and Mobberley Brewhouse. We can’t all get together at the beer festival this year, but we can enjoy some great beers together at home.”

To add to the customer experience, the team will run virtual beer tastings for every beer in the box throughout December. These will be shared on the Knutsford Beer Festival Instagram channel.

The limited-edition calendars cost £80, including delivery. Two-hundred are available, and they will be delivered in time for the start of December.
