Brew Con London will bring together craft beer, brewing experts, ingredients and hobbyist equipment when it lands at Oval Space, Bethnal Green, London, on November 12.

The conference and expo will be the first of its kind dedicated not only to the consumption but also to the craft of making great tasting beer.

Brew Con 2017Organiser Simon Pipola, a beer writer, said: “We have some great exhibitors on board and have a full day’s worth of speakers and workshops planned. Understanding how beer is made enables the consumer to truly appreciate the final product.”

The pastime of making beer at home is undergoing a revolution akin to the transformation the craft beer scene has witnessed in the last decade. Innovation and accessibility of small-batch brewing equipment, coupled with a far higher quality of readily available ingredients from across the globe, has led to a resurgence in the numbers of people brewing beer in the comfort of their own homes, with far superior results.

This year’s keynote speaker, charged with opening the inaugural Brew Con London, is Stu McKinlay, director of Yeastie Boys. He said: “I am, without a doubt, happiest when I’m hanging with home brewers. At Brew Con it’ll be all about the sausage and not the sizzle.”

The event promises to bring together great beer, great food and great people from the world of brewing, all for £15. Tickets are available at www.brewconlondon.com/tickets

For experienced home brewers there is also a competition being run alongside the event, with the chance to win a trip to Portland, Oregon. For more information, visit www.brewcon-worldseries.com
