Windswept Brewing Company, from Lossiemouth, has signed up to be a headline sponsor at the Tiree Wave Classic 2016.
The sponsorship deal will introduce hundreds of surfers and windsurfers from across the world to the full range of Windswept Brewing Company’s beers.
The Tiree Lodge is hosting a Windswept pop-up bar throughout the competition this week, and managing director Nigel Tiddy will be on hand to introduce the surfers, windsurfers and fans toa range of their beers. Nigel has also packed his surfboard, with the hopes of getting some lessons from some of the champion surfers who will be in Tiree.
He said: “The Tiree Wave Classic is windswept and legendary, just like our beer. Windsurfers from across the world come for the challenge and adventure of the Tiree Wave Classic, and we’re excited to be part of the team.
“The weather is looking to get pretty wild during the week so we should see a truly classic windsurfing competition. With over 30 knots of wind and a seven- to nine-foot swell, the windsurfers will definitely have earned their right to a glass of Windswept.”
The sponsorship is the latest in a series of successes for Windswept Brewing Company, which picked up exporter of the year at the Scottish Beer Awards and was the only craft brewer selected to supply the AMA Scottish Open in the summer.
