Louder Than 10 — the newest addition to Thwaites' Signature Range — pays homage to the classic film This is Spinal Tap, which has its 30th anniversary this year. It is a 6.5% ABV double IPA with intense bitter notes, offset by distinct pint flavours with spicy and grapefruit overtones, says the brewery. It will be available during May • Wheat (5%) is Meantime Brewery's beer of the month. The beer is brewmaster Alastair Hook's take on a traditional German wheat beer and is made using genuine Bavarian yeast. There are fruity and spicy aromas and flavours, with banana and cloves to the fore, and a sift, mousse-like mouthfeel • Chiltern Brewery has launched Bucks Best (3.8% ABV) to mark the 20th anniversary of local radio station Mix96 and to support St Tiggywinkle's Wildlife Hospital, the station' charity for this year. The Chestnut beer is a blend of Chiltern Ale and Nut Brown Mild with an extra charge of hops to add complexity and character. Meanwhile, Nut Brown Mild (3.9%) is available in its own right as an April special. It is dark and subtly sweet with a balanced hop aroma • Thornbridge beers are now listed at honestbrew.co.uk
