Fuller's Father's Day

Proud father Paul Lightfoot was crowned the winner of Fuller’s Father’s Day competition, winning the ultimate Father’s Day present — his own Fuller’s pub for the day.

His local Fuller’s pub is The Turk’s Head, Twickenham, which was transformed for the whole of Father’s Day, including being renamed The Lightfoot Arms, complete with personalised pub sign.

Paul was surprised to arrive at the pub to discover his portrait on the pub sign, his name on the top of the menu and a meal on the house for him and his family.

Paul won the competition having been nominated by his son, David. David’s winning entry said: “My Dad is a superhero. He has always told me and my brother to follow our hearts and always believed in us. He’s also a chipper chap and very fun.”

Kate Ross, manager of The Turk’s Head, said: “We had a lot of fun with Paul and his family on Father’s Day. It’s a great competition and you could tell Paul was thrilled with his prize.”

Paul said: “I’m so chuffed about this. This is such a lovely surprise, and I’m delighted I get to celebrate it with my family. I’m touched that David would enter me into such a competition. It’s quite surreal to see your own face on a pub sign!”
