Ora Brewing — which designs its beers in Italy and brews them in South London — has created Fragoline, a limited edition pale ale with South African hops.
A few years ago, SAB Miller bought all the South African hop farms in order to supply its own breweries, so now it’s almost impossible to source hops such as African Queen and Southern Passion.
But Ora has teamed up with Cleaver Craft Brewing to bring some African Queen to the UK, sourced directly from a small farm in George (Eastern Cape).
Fragolino is a 4% ABV pale ale with hints of blueberries, cassis and passion fruit. But one special ingredient is added — Italian strawberries!
