Crisp Malting SIBA awardCrisp Malting Group’s Rob Moody was a proud recipient of a SIBA business award, his company winning the category for best supplier.

Crisp’s logistics and craft brewing director was handed the award at SIBA’s Beer X, a trade show and festival of beer, by Ruth Evans, chief executive of Brewing, Food and Beverage industry (BFBi).

“Craft brewing is an exciting and expanding sector of the industry, one we are proud to be a part of,” said Rob. “Being recognised in this way is testament to the care and commitment of all members of the Crisp team. Every last one of them goes out of their way to help customers.

“SIBA represents 800 craft brewers. The fact they’ve selected us from all the excellent suppliers they use is a huge honour. It’s a vindication of all the investment and effort we’ve put into developing services, broadening product range and concentrating on customer care.”

The competition judges praised the way Crisp works so closely with brewers on a day to day basis, saying: “With a great sales and technical team always at the end of the phone for support, Crisp makes the smallest brewers feel that their business is as important to them as that of the international brewers.

“They are professional, customer orientated, friendly and supportive, technically strong, well resourced, have great relationships with their suppliers and always go that extra mile for their customers.  Crisp Malting Group is a valued and winning SIBA supplier.”

Rob said: “It doesn’t need much of an excuse for maltsters to seek out a beer, but securing this coveted award is the perfect pretext. We’ll be raising our glasses to the success of SIBA and its members — and thanking them for their vote of confidence.”
