Brewing has got under way at one of the country’s newest brewery, Gloucester Brewery, with Gloucester Gold set to hit local bars in the next few weeks.

The brewery, which is based at the city’s docks, has been set up by business partners Jared Brown, Beverley Booth and the appropriately named Dave Porter.

“We are fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Waterways Trust to use the former Shire Horse stables in the museum workshop as our new microbrewery,” Jared told This is Gloucestershire.

“We will be celebrating the history and heritage of the Docks by using traditional brewing techniques with a fusion of modern hops to create a range of three exciting craft ales; Gloucester Gold, Mariner, and Dockside Dark.”
