Good Beer Hunting’s Matthew Curtis and Claire Bullen are staging a talk and tasting that will explore four different beer styles that showcase how malt is used in brewing to evoke completely different flavours.

With so much emphasis placed on hops these days, this is a chance to find out more about the ingredient that’s at the base of our beers.

To be staged at Hop Burns & Black on March 22, the event is the third in a series of tastings that take a closer look at the fundamentals of beer, whether they be malt, hops, yeasts or even adjuncts.

In the Good Beer Hunting tradition, Matt and Claire will be pouring samples of beer liberally and also providing a small food pairing to try alongside one of the beers (it won’t be substantial however, and theye do recommend eating before you arrive).

Tickets are £16.50 (plus booking fee) per person (available at Ticketsource). Members of Good Beer Hunting’s Fervent Few subscriber community will receive a code for 10% off the ticket price.
