London Pride, the flagship ale of Fuller’s, has won the prestigious Gold Medal at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky festival in Sweden. London Pride was awarded top prize in the overall ale category.

Fuller's London PrideThe Stockholm festival is in its 24th year and provides the opportunity for people to try rare drinks from all over the world and for international breweries to showcase their products to a new audience. Describing itself as a ‘taste experience’, the festival provides an in-depth look into a wide range of beer and whisky with a number of masterclasses.

London Pride sold more than 2,000 barrels in Sweden between April 2014 and March 2015. This, combined with the popularity of such Fuller’s beers as ESB and London Porter, makes the Scandinavian nation the brewer’s number one export market.

Fuller’s brewing director, John Keeling, said: “I have always enjoyed attending this festival and the quality of the range of beers available. To come home with an award is great — in the words of Sweden’s most famous export, the winner takes it all.”
