London Craft Beer Cruises will return in 2019, with six dates aboard The Pride of London announced between April and September.

On board the vessel, guests can take in great views of London whie trying beers from ten of the capital’s breweries. Cider, cocktails and food will also be served.

Every cruise will celebrate a featured brewery, in partnership with Craft Metropolis, an online beer subscription service showcasing London’s beer scene.

One beer will be selected to pour on the cruise and also offered as the beer of the month on the Craft Metropolis website. A £5 discount on cruise tickets is available to Craft Metropolis members.

April 2019’s featured brewery is Hackney’s Five Points Brewing Company, and hot food will be available from Walthamstow Dogs. Cider will be supplied from Nightingale Cider Company, specialising in traditional Kentish ciders, with cocktails from Longflint Drinks Co, which produces hand-made cocktails with natural botanicals, using only the finest craft gin, rum, vodka and mezcal.

While guests take in the sights of The Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and Greenwich Peninsula, they will be joined by a team of accredited beer sommeliers offering informal tutored tastings during the cruise.

Fully stocked bar

Representatives from the breweries featured on each cruise will answer questions about their beer. There will also be a fully stocked bar with other drink options. During the last hour of the journey, live music will keep the atmosphere going.

Company founder, James Kellow, said: “Everything is better on a boat. For Londoners, the Craft Beer Cruise is the perfect opportunity to be a tourist in your own city and see some fantastic views from the water.

“And if I were a tourist in another city and someone said to me that I could see best sights of city on a boat while drinking the best beers of that city, I wouldn’t need any more convincing!

“I’ve run a number of these craft beer cruises now and I can say with certainty that everyone always enjoys themselves because there’s something for everyone — it doesn’t matter if you even like beer or not because it’s also a relaxing afternoon spent with friends or family on the Thames.

“But if you do like beer, that’s a bonus because you will appreciate the diverse range of beer on offer.”
