Market Drayton based Joule’s Brewery has announced its largest sponsorship agreement to date — a three-year deal with Newcastle Town FC as the main club sponsor.

The agreement is in place ready for the club’s pre-season training schedule. The Joule’s Craft Beer Bus has made its first appearance at the club for the first couple of friendly home matches against Port Vale and Stoke City, and feedback of the Joule’s ales and its latest crafted lager, Green Monkey, has been fantastic.

The Staffordshire club enjoyed great success last season in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League and have their sights set on another stellar campaign this season. Joule’s Brewery are already a familiar name in the town and across the county, with one of the latest Joule’s houses, the Old Bulls Head, already being located in the town itself.

The club’s chairman, Jeff Harrall, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Joule’s to the club and I am certain that there will be major benefits for both parties over the coming season. Having Joules as our new sponsor is simply a perfect fit.

“In Newcastle Town itself, the brewery is very well known and in the regions that our away fans are coming from, where Joules don’t currently have a large presence, it will only enhance the brewer’s reputation, and ours for offering decent beer!”

Being brewers, Joule’s look to invest further in the clubhouse and bar, extending the offering available to members and fans alike with the introduction of some of their famous cask ales and Green Monkey.

Joule’s marketing controller, Trudie Meredith, said: “We are delighted to be working with NTFC — it’s our largest sponsorship to date creating a lot of exciting opportunities.

“Sponsorships play an enormous part in our marketing plan. Being a part of and supporting the community is very important to us and working with local clubs and teams builds further awareness around the brand and what we do. We also like to share our heritage and stories with our customers and we are really looking forward to hosting a brewery tour next month for the club members and volunteers, where they will have the opportunity to sample all our fine beers and meet the brewer.

“Newcastle and the surrounding area is a significant region for us. We now have a great couple of Joule’s houses in Newcastle and surrounding areas. The Old Bulls Head and the Crown have very much become a significant feature in their communities. We also have many valuable free trade customers in and around the town.”

Newcastle Town FC’s first home game of the season takes place on Tuesday, August 18, against Tividale following their pre-season schedule, which included games against Crewe Alexandra, Port Vale and a Stoke City XI.
