Derby Brewing Company’s crowdfunding campaign has exceeded 75% of its target and has now been extended until May 31.

Director Paul Harris said: “It’s great that we’ve already reached 75% of our target, with more investors coming on board daily. We are in talks with a number of potential significant investors who have pledged their commitment to the campaign.

“The extension is definitely positive news, but we’d still advise anyone looking to invest or to increase their investment to move quickly to avoid disappointment.”

He added: “As a family-run business, we couldn’t be more pleased with how the campaign has progressed since its launch last month. The amount of interest, as well as positive comments for our future plans, has been overwhelming. It’s certainly an exciting time for the business.

“Last week we held two really successful crowdfunding showcase events, one in London and one at The Tap, in Derby, with a number of attendees pledging to invest or increase their investment. It has been great to speak to investors and potential investors face to face to talk about our plans for the future. The feedback on our new Crafted beer, which we offered as samples during the event, has also been really encouraging.”

Shareholder opportunities range from £100 to £25,000, with investors gaining access to a range of rewards depending on the level of investment, including regular samples of new beers, discounts at Derby Brewing Co venues, AGM invitations and parties.

Current venues include: The Tap, a specialist beer and spirit house, with more than 75 beers and ciders and over 70 spirits; The Queen’s Head, a cosy village gastro pub with locally-sourced food; The Greyhound, a smoke and craft house with its own in-house smoked menu and over 150 craft beers and ciders; and The Kedleston Country House, which combines an extensive bar and relaxed restaurant with a boutique hotel and wedding venue.
