Punch Taverns is celebrating the appearance of 187 of its pubs in the 2017 edition of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.

To help publicise the success, Punch has sent all publicans who have achieved the accolade a pack, which includes an external banner and internal posters, to promote the accomplishment.

Punch logoPunch’s chief executive officer, Duncan Garrood, said: “On behalf of everybody here at Punch, I would like to say congratulations to all the pubs who have made it into the guide. It’s a fantastic achievement and all of them should be very proud.

“We hope that more of our pubs will make it into the Good Beer Guide next year and we will continue to support all our pubs with training and development.”

Publican of the Malt Shovel in Aston on Trent, Matt Feeney, said: “It’s a real pleasure to be in the Good Beer Guide. We have been in the Malt Shovel since 2010, where we have grown year on year. We stock six real ales and the pack we received from Punch is great — it really helped us promote the Good Beer Guide in our pub.”
