Harbour Brewing Co, in Cornwall, was one of ten British breweries represented at the Craft Brewers’ Conference in the United States last week.

Partner in Harbour, Eddie Lofthouse, was overwhelmed by the scale of the event, and also fascinated to see that there was no divide between the cask and keg scenes, unlike the UK.

The British brewers’ delegation was organised and part-funded by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the Brewing, Food & Beverage Industry Suppliers Association (BFBi). The event attracted some 5,000 brewing professionals.

The nine other British breweries taking part in the delegation were Ilkley Brewery, Camden Town Brewery, Freeminer Brewery, Fyne Ales, Hambleton Ales, Highland Brewery, Hilden Brewery, Penpont Brewery and Khukuri Beer.
