St Peter's Steve Magnall

St Peter’s Brewery, in Suffolk, is continuing to secure export deals across Europe and further, with new deals secured in Norway and the Cayman Islands.

Chief executive, Steve Magnall (pictured), said: “St Peter’s Brewery was founded on a desire to export craft beers to countries all over the world, and that continues to be our focus.

“We’ve just been notified by our importers in Norway that we have won a tender to supply our Cream Stout through the alcohol monopoly Vinmonopolet. This will join current listings of Suffolk Gold, India Pale Ale and The Saints Whisky Beer from September 1.

“We’ve also just signed a deal with a brand new customer in the Cayman Islands for our Golden Ale, IPA and Cream Stout.”

Export sales make up 50% of overall business for St Peter’s Brewery and, according to Steve, interest from overseas has never been so buoyant.

He said: “People talk about the negative effects of Brexit, but so far we’ve seen no evidence of this on our sales or export deals. Interest in our beers is growing in Europe and across the world.

“Deals like this prove that the taste for craft beer is far reaching and we intend to be at the forefront of that growth and interest as much as possible.

“We are always looking to secure new listings with exporters and are constantly looking for ways to forge relationships with importers across the world. Exporting is not an easy path, but it is certainly paying off for us.”
