Dogtown at King & CoStreetfood heavyweight Dogtown London will take on hot new contender Slap & Pickle this winter in a first double residency at popular independent pub The King & Co in Clapham.

Launching this week, the two-month kitchen takeover will see heavenly hotdogs and smashing burgers go head to head in the ring, coupled with the talented duo’s array of home-made pickles and sauces.

Visitors to the pub’s December and January pop-up showdown will get to choose their champion between Dogtown’s legendary pork and beef frank, and Slap & Pickle’s signature double cheeseburger.

All cooked to order and made using free-range meat from trusted producers the Rare Breed Meat Company, the hearty hotdogs and juicy patties will showcase an eclectic line-up of homemade pickles, relishes and sauces.

Recently named in the Evening Standard’s top ten boozy brunches in London, The King & Co’s new pub kitchen residency’s all-day breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays will celebrate locally-sourced quality fresh produce, serving up comforting classics like poached eggs on sourdough toast along with smoked salmon and bacon cured personally by talented Slap & Pickle head chef Ed Jones at his home just down the road in Brixton.
