Charles Wells has unveiled a new premium dining menu and makeover of its D’Parys pub with rooms, on Bedford’s iconic De Parys Avenue.

The 250 sq m site features 130 restaurant covers inside and 60 outside, as well as its existing 14 boutique en-suite bedrooms, which have also been refurbished.

The menu offers options from breakfast through to lunch (including a quick-service selection of dishes for those at a lunch meeting) then to dinner. There are dishes such as chilli breaded squid with a ginger and sesame dressing, rack of lamb with buttered greens and heritage carrots, and a salted caramel and chocolate tart with lime sorbet.

The new bar area seats up to 30 guests, with staff serving up cocktails and a selection of fine wines, plus Charlie Wells and Wandering Brewer beers. The pub’s new private dining area can host up to 30 guests seated and offers a flat screen and high-speed internet for meetings.

Steve Wilkins, managing director of Little Gems, the operating partner for Charles Wells’ Apostrophe pubs, said: “Charles Wells is investing heavily in its UK pubs, and the work that’s gone into the D’Parys is testament to this commitment.

“We’re delighted with the new look and new dining offering, which will give local residents and visitors the perfect place to dine, drink and stay over.”
