The announcement of the champion beer of Britain is returning to the trade session of the Great British Beer Festival this year.

Those attending the session, on Tuesday, August 8, at Olympia, will be the first to hear the announcement and will have the chance to speak with representatives from the winning breweries attending the event.

More than 2,000 trade representatives have already requested their tickets, including more than 500 brewers from across the country.

Festival organiser, Ian Hill, said: “We’re delighted to announce that visitors to the trade session will have the chance to be the first to hear which beer has been crowned the champion beer of Britain.

“The trade session provides a fantastic opportunity for people in the industry to meet, socialise, and network with others over some fantastic beers. To help attendees make the most out of the day, CAMRA will be providing special badges and offering networking support.

“We hope people in the trade will use the session to make contacts and friends, and we look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces this year.”
