A busy weekend for the Cornwall branch of the Campaign for Real Ale ended with a sunny presentation afternoon in The ‘Front, Falmouth.

Members were there to make two presentations: one to ‘Front manger Matt Reay, for runner-up spot in the county pub of the year contest, and one to Simon Treen, owner and brewer at Treen’s Brewery, Ponsanoooth, for achieving silver in the best bitter category at Cornwall CAMRA’s Falmouth Beer Festival 2016 for Cuckoo.

On the Saturday, the branch held its regular meeting at the Plume of Feathers, Pool, where beers from St Ives and Sharp’s breweries were enjoyed.

Coming soon will be the first of joint social secretary Ann Burnett’s Wednesday Walkabouts, on May 10, in Falmouth, in celebration of CAMRA’s Mild Month of May. Meet at the ‘Front at 4pm.
