New cruise liner Britannia will be taking a Great British Beer menu with her when she launches in March.

Her impressive beer list will include 70 bottled beers ad cider from 56 British counties, including Pilsners, ales, stouts, gluten-free beer and speciality beers.

Breweries represented include Windsor & Eton, Elgoods, Whitewater, Fyne Ales, Felinfoel and BrewDog.

In a statement, Christoher Edgington, marketing director of P&O, the company behind Britannia, said: “The UK boasts more breweries per head of population than any other country in the world, with the industry growing at more than 10% each year. This new beer menu celebrates the growing popularity of traditionally made British beers and ciders and reflects our aim of showcasing the very best that Britain has to offer.”
