XT Brewing Company

A new brewery for autumn 2011, the brainchild of former IT consultant Russ Taylor and Gareth Xifaras, a former PricewaterhouseCooper business consultant. A 15-barrel brewplant was custom made by Malrex in Burton-upon-Trent.

“The beers will be to our own recipes which we have been working on over the last couple of years,” said Russ. “The beers will be numbered such that One is a very pale blonde beer up to Nine which is a hefty dark stout. There will be specials outside the range in due course. I lived in the US for a few years and have been influenced by some of the microbrewers over there, so expect a few slightly different ales in the range.”

XT also produces one-off beers under the Animal Brewing brand.
