Having run a successful taproom once a month, London-based Hammerton Brewery is preparing to open its first pub.
The pub is currently known as the Wig & Gown and is located on the Holloway Road, in the heart of Islington.
The brewer says: “It is less than 700 metres from the brewery and we have some great things planned for the pub. We are looking to fully renovate the pub and are aiming to launch the new pub around late May / early June.
“However, as the pub in its current guise has a big Arsenal following on match days and what with Lee (our founder) being a big Arsenal fan too, in the interim where possible we wanted to continue opening up the pub on match days prior to the full renovations.”
