A new brewery in 2011, established by former actor Peter Geeves and his son, Harry. Winter beer Tunnel Mouth quickly became the pair’s first award winner, being named champion beer at Mexborough’s Imperial Club and at a new breweries Festival. There is a 5.5-barrel plant.

Founded by Tony Davis and Mike Davies in 1985, Grainstore — known as the ‘largest brewery in the smallest county’ — has a good number of outlets around its Rutland base. The brewery is in a derelict Victorian railway grainstore building. Maris Otter barley and whole English hops are used. The brewery also makes Phipps NBC beers.

Granite Rock Brewery
A microbrewery in a home brew shop, launched in 2013. Frances Williams and Dave Wilmott are founders and co-directors, with Dave continuing an interest in brewing he inherited from his father.
