Bad Seed Brewery

Bad Seed is the latest brewery to feature on Tate Modern’s monthly tap takeovers, and next week’s event will include the launch of a new beer.

The tap takeover is on Thursday, May 25, from 6.30 to 10pm, at the Terrace Bar, when Bad Seed will be showcasing five beers, including new American Pale Ale (4.3% ABV), hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

The other beers on the menu are: Iced Tea; Electric — Hard Wired Hopfenweisse; Doctrine — Sacrilegious Belgian Brown; and Horizon — New World Rye IPA.

Tate’s extensive beer list provides a solely British offer, choosing to work with breweries which reflect Tate’s ethos and passion such as Bad Seed, a Malton-based brewery which produces an award-winning range of cask, keg, and bottled beers that make their way across the UK.

The teams behind Tate and Bad Seed will be available throughout the evening with a shared aim to enjoy good beer. Everyone is invited to come and taste beers, learn more and experience some great British craft brews.

• Bad Seed began as two home brewers, James and Chris, passionate about beer, began to experiment with innovative recipes and high-quality ingredients. In 2013 they opened a microbrewery based in Malton, North Yorkshire, and turned the town into a beacon for handcrafted, full flavour beers. Very quickly, the beers proved so popular that there was a need to grow, and the brewery has expanded and moved since its original site.
