BrewDog’s Estonia bar, opened this year
BrewDog has recorded a £72 million turnover for 2016, up by 60% on last year, making BrewDog one of the fastest growing craft brewers globally.
It is now growing faster than many of the fastest-growing US craft breweries, including Lagunitas, Ballast Point and Stone Brewing.
In 2016, BrewDog’s total UK sales increased by 97%, with Punk IPA sales increasing by 130%. Dead Pony Club grew by 157%.
Throughout last year, BrewDog shipped 214,000hl of beer. Additionally, 65 million bottles of beer were exported worldwide.
The BrewDog team unveiled a new 300hl brewing site, adjacent to its brewery in Ellon, Scotland, and opened eight new bars, including Norwich, Southampton and Berlin.
In April 2017, BrewDog was valued at £1 billion, following a £213 million investment from TSG Consumer Partners. It has plans to expand its brewery and bars network even further this year.
