Big Drop Brewing Co, dedicated exclusively to making fine 0.5% ABV beer, has added Citrus Pale Ale to its range, following the successful release of its first beer, Chocolate Milk Stout.

Big Drop Pale AleCreated in Bermondsey, London, by brewer Johnny Clayton, Big Drop Citrus Pale Ale has a large fruit juice aroma with lime, grapefruit and a hint of spiciness.

It has a delicate blend of mango, passion fruit and pineapple flavours, combined with a light, crisp refreshing body, finishing with a smooth caramel aftertaste.

Big Drop founder, Rob Fink, said: “Consumer feedback tells us that our Chocolate Milk Stout has achieved our ambition of keeping the character and flavour of the beer intact whilst managing the alcohol level [at] 0.5% ABV.

“In researching a style and flavour for our second beer, the call for a pale ale came through loud and clear. We used the same processes to manage the alcohol level and maintain the intensity of flavour, through the treatment of the yeasts and malt used, and the resulting Citrus Pale Ale provides another great quality, low-alcohol beer with real depth.

“Big Drop Brewing is dedicated to making only the finest low-alcohol beer and no artificial extraction processes are used to make our beers. We just brew it the way it should be done: with love, care and innovation.

“With recent reports that sales of zero- and low-alcohol beer are rising at four times the rate of the overall beer category, it’s an exciting time to be launching our second beer and provide drinkers with a credible choice of low alcohol beers.”

It’s recommended that Big Drop Citrus Pale Ale should be served straight from the fridge. It can be enjoyed on its own or, for instance, with a spicy Thai curry or a well-stacked chicken burger.
