The date has been announced for this year’s Beer Matters, the trade show and conference for the Scottish brewing industry.

The event — a day of learning and development for brewers, attended by a range of international speakers, and suppliers from across the UK — will take place at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on September 27.

Beer MattersThe popular trade show has been doubled in size, to allow for UK and international exhibitors to present at the event which, last year, along with the Scottish Beer Awards celebration dinner, welcomed more than 450 guests.

Organisers are now confirming a line-up of international speakers which has previously included Garrett Oliver, master brewer at Brooklyn Brewery. Once again, the event will focus on growth within the brewing sector and offer a range of discussions including growing export, product range, securing investment and future consumer trends.

The day will conclude with a ‘Happy Hour’, supported by The Brewers Association of Scotland (TBAS) and a beer tasting of several new or unreleased beers.

To reserve delegate places or to book a stand at the event, visit the Beer Matters website to download an exhibition plan. Discounted tickets are available to TBAS members, SIBA members and students.

The Scottish Beer Awards celebration and beer-paired gourmet dinner takes place at the same venue that evening at 7pm. The beer competition is judged in May and already more than 65 breweries are registered to participate. To register for updates contact pippa@kdmedia.co.uk
