The Beer Matters conference and trade show will return in 2019, with booking open next month for delegate places and trade stands.

Almost 200 delegates and exhibitors were welcomed to Edinburgh for the event in September and were treated to an inspiring programme centred around learning and development in the brewing industry, including the launch of a new Brewing Strategy for Scotland, presented by Hilary Jones on behalf of Scotland Food & Drink.

The line-up of guest speakers offered an interesting and thought provoking day, with presentations from Brad Cummings (pictured), of Tiny Rebel Brewing, and Jaega Wise, head brewer at Wildcard Brewery in London.

Brad said: “The Scottish Brewing industry is thriving and I felt privileged to be part of this year’s Beer Matters Conference. To meet so many of Scotland’s established and up and coming brewers presented a fantastic opportunity to share experiences, challenges and to bounce ideas off each other.

“There hasn’t been a more exciting time to explore the trends and innovations happening in brewing and to hear how the Scottish brewing sector continues to grow at such rapid pace, is hugely encouraging.”
