Hiver Albourne

Honey craft beer maker Hiver has announced the launch of Hiver at Albourne Estate, an immersive beekeeping and beer-tasting experience in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

Teaming up with award-winning British wine producer, Albourne Estate, Hiver is offering consumers access to this beautiful vineyard.

For Christmas shoppers it’s a totally unique present for those looking to give friends or family a gift to remember. It’s the perfect yuletide surprise for foodies, beer fans, lovers of the great outdoors or even budding amateur beekeepers. Tickets are available to purchase now for the 2019 season.

Hiver marketing manager, Dean Lavender, said: “Consumers are increasingly looking for memorable ways to connect and spend time together, and we’re delighted to be offering this unique experience, which also showcases the rural side of Hiver’s personality.”

Overlooking the picturesque South Downs National Park, the Hiver at Albourne Estate offers a fascinating insight into the world of bees, beekeeping and beer.

Honey beer and food matching

The two-hour session starts with a short introduction to these essential and intriguing creatures before getting suited up for a hive inspection.

After the fun of helping Hiver’s beekeeper handle the frames, checking the health of the hive, and getting up close with the bees themselves, participants will retreat to Albourne Estate’s tasting room to relax over a tantalisingly tasty honey beer and food matching session.

Guests will then have the opportunity explore the rest of the enchanting vineyard, onsite shop and bar.

Running on weekends from April to September 2019, sessions accommodate up to 12 people and places are anticipated to fill up quickly as Christmas approaches.

• Priced at £46 per person, Hiver at Albourne Estate tickets can be purchased online from the Hiver website or Not on the High Street for one or two participants.
