Woodforde’s Brewery has added more awards to its collection from the Norfolk and Norwich CAMRA beer of the year competition.

Woodforde's Mardler'sMardler’s was named as gold winner in the mild category. The beer takes its name from the Norfolk dialect, meaning ‘to chat’. With an ABV of just 3.5%, the beer has delicate sweet roasted malt notes and low hop taste.

In the best bitter category, Nelson’s Revenge picked up the silver award. At 4.5% ABV, Nelson’s has a citrus taste and aroma, full of Norfolk malt, and paying homage to Admiral Nelson and his crew.

Judi-mae Alderton, head of marketing at Woodforde’s, said: “The opinion of CAMRA drinkers is really important to us, since they’re so passionate about real ale. We are really pleased with these results.”
