Beer Festival Groningen Netherlands
The 3th edition of the Beer Festival Groningen will take place again in the ‘Martinikerk’ in Groningen. The festival did become one of the biggest beer festivals in the Benelux in just 2 years. This year visitors can taste over 125 special beers. There are beers from all over the world. All the beers will be chosen by the brewery itself or a representative of the brewery. This means that there is a lot of knowledge around about all the beers.
There will be given different kind of master classes by Melissa Cole (UK) and Giovanni Campari (I).Next to this various competitions will take place. There’s a competition for amateur brewers and this year there will also be a competition for professional brewery’s. The amateur brewers are challenged to make the best ‘Weizenbier’ and the breweries are challenged to develop a ‘Spring/ May Bokbeer’. On top of this there’s a competition of the best ‘beer and food- combination’.
The festival is split up in different sessions over 2 days:
Friday 12th of April: 19:00 hour till 23:00 hour
Saturday 13th of April: 13:00 hour till 17:00 hour
Saturday 13th of April: 19:00 hour till 23:00 hour
Tickets price is €13,- including 2 coins and a tasting glass. More information, entrance tickets and tickets for master classes are available on the website http://www.bierfestivalgroningen.nl/en/
